Four Best Networking Practices
People want to do business with people they know which is why networking is so powerful. Think about it. Would you rather buy that insurance you need from a stranger or help out yourself and an acquaintance with a purchase?
Networking can be done formally in Chambers of Commerce, Business Network International (BNI) groups or with anyone you meet. So, always be prepared to network anywhere:
- Develop, practice and commit to memory a 30 second intro (aka an elevator speech) that you can recite anywhere.
- At formal functions, wear your name tag on the top left side of your chest (that way it’s visible when you shake hands).
- Always see how you can help someone else by buying their product or service.
- Keep (and provide) contact information like a business card for future reference.
Vanquish Marketing Group encourages networking as a way to become branded with your products.
